Sprite Zero is a sugar-free version of Sprite. It is meant to have the same taste as Sprite, only with low calories.

History[]

It was originally known as Sugar Free Sprite from 1974 through 1983, until it was renamed Diet Sprite in 1983. In other countries, it was known as Sprite Light. In September 2004, it was renamed Diet Sprite Zero. Since then, it has become Sprite Zero (Sprite Z) in Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Europe, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and New Zeiland. It was renamed Sprite Zero when new logos first appeared in June 2006.

Sprite Zero bottles have a blue label, and a clear bottle. Sprite Zero cans are solid blue.

Taste[]

Sprite Zero is meant to taste very similar to Sprite and it is also supposed to taste very good.
